One of the most comprehensive range of practice files for choral singers can be found on the Silvis Woodshed site.
Below you will find links to music being
studied by the choir. Almost by definition, MIDI files are tiny so
they will sound tinny compared to normal instruments. However,
they are usually pitch perfect and can be extremely useful.
In order to play MIDI files it is helpful to
run a program designed specifically to get the most out of them.
The one I use and which is highly recommended by professionals is
VanBasco's Karaoke Player. This is free software and can be
downloaded from this site:
It may sound crass but it can be good fun! If you play around with the settings you can emphasise your part and keep the accompaniment running in the background. MP3 files can be played back through the normal media player on your computer and through external MP3 players. Most MP3 files circulating in the world at large have been ripped from commercial CDs but the files here have been made available to the public domain by their creators.

These may be helpful to you in home practice but should not be assumed to be accurate interpretations of our own conductor's requirements.
